THE BEST ARCHIVAL FRAMERS IN NYC
GK Framing Group was established in 1986 in Chelsea, New York City. Founder Elizabeth Goldfeder started as a small art gallery and high end framing studio on Chelsea’s West 22nd Street where she quickly emerged as a leader in the care, preservation and presentation of fine art.
By the 1990’s GK, widely considered the best archival framers in New York City, relocated to 37 West 20th Street more than tripling their square footage. On the cusp of the Flatiron District and the newly crowned Ladies Historic District, top designers in NYC were visiting the new atelier for innovative frame designs and white glove customer service. Today, since 2001, in the Roebling Building, in historic Tribeca, GK Framing has the same unflagging commitment to excellence. GK continues to work closely with and nurture their relationships with gilders, carvers, wood millers and metalsmith. The Tribeca showroom and workshops on Hudson Street remain the only NYC manufacturing combined with a showroom in Manhattan. The GK showroom is open Monday – Friday from 9 AM – 6 PM appointment preferred and Saturday and Sunday by appointment.
