Over Thirty Years of Conservation Framing Innovation
Elizabeth Goldfeder started GK Framing Group in New York City in the mid-1980s as a small art gallery and high end framing studio on Chelsea’s West 22nd Street. Goldfeder carved out a large niche framing corporate and private art collections. With a strong interest in archival framing, she immersed herself in the world of paper conservation. GK Framing Group quickly emerged as a leader in the care, preservation and presentation of fine art. GK Framing Group combines innovative modern technology with a tradition of outstanding craftsmanship. Our state of the art facility and practices truly sets us apart.
- The 4,000-square-foot Tribeca showroom and studio is dedicated to extending the life of the art
- The centerpiece of its state-of-the art facility is the clean room, a temperature and humidity controlled work environment
- The HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) system in the clean room filters the air three times per minute, eradicating dust and other contaminants that would normally adhere to the surfaces
- Employees wear taffeta frocks and hair coverings, and work on stainless steel tables
